Out with the old!

Two years after splitting from ex-husband Russell Brand, Katy Perry has finally sold the house the duo lived in together when they were married.

The massive 9,000 square foot Hollywood mansion, which features seven beds and nine baths, went for $5.65 million. Not only did the new owner get a deal (Perry paid $6.5 million in 2011) but the lucky buyer will now be neighbors with A-listers such as Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

The "Roar" singer recently talked about getting over her heart-breaking divorce in the January issue of Marie Claire magazine.

"There are two ways you can go: You can either nurture yourself or go destructive. I have gone down the destructive path before, and that didn't work for me," she shared. "You dig deep beyond those scars and find that soft tissue again, and you massage and nurture it and bring it to life, little by little, through serving yourself well. I did it through hikes and vitamins and therapy and prayer and good friends."

It also helps when you find love again, which the pop star seems to have with beau John Mayer. But still, it must feel good to finally put to rest the last remnant of her failed marriage.
