Does Robin Thicke need a little domesticating himself?

A source tells E! News that the "Blurred Lines" artist was visibly annoyed when he was first shown to his suite at the SLS Hotel in South Beach, where he cohosted a New Year's Eve bash, and then proceeded to make a public spectacle of his displeasure.

"He was very upset when he saw his room," the source says. "He was huffing and puffing in very public common areas over it."

We're told that Thicke initially thought the room was too small and had his travel agent start looking for other hotel accommodations—but, it being NYE in Miami after all, he didn't have much luck and ended up staying put.

The rest of his stay seemed to go well, however, and he looked perfectly happy performing and partying that night.

A rep for the hotel also didn't think much of the incident, telling E! News today, "Robin was a great guest."

"Thank you @robinthicke for a memorable New Year's Eve!! #wishwithsls@chanelloliver @sbecollection," the hotel also thanked him via Twitter.

Thicke's rep hasn't yet responded to a request for comment.

Meanwhile, Paula Patton's hubby had plenty of reasons to celebrate on New Year's Eve—in addition to capping off a great year, his latest single, "4 the Rest of My Life," reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and his Blurred Lines has three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year for the smash-hit title track.
