Lisa Robin Kelly's cause of death was released by the Los Angeles County Coroner Friday.

The former That 70's Show actress died from "multiple drug intoxication," E! News can confirm.

The death was ruled an accident and clarified that the fatal injury occurred by oral ingestion. Kelly passed away on Aug. 15 after a lengthy struggle with drug addiction and ultimately lost her battle while in a California recovery center.

At the time, her publicist confirmed the sad news and added, "Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years. I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle."

Kelly had a string of arrests months before her passing. In June 22 she was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. The incident marked the second DUI arrest for the actress, who pled guilty to the same charge back in 2010.

She was also arrested for domestic abuse in April 2012, and she was later arrested for assault, following a fight with her husband at her New Orleans home in November 2012.

Kelly is best known for her role as the promiscuous Laurie Forman on the hit sitcom. She left the series in 2003 and was replaced by Christina Moore during the show's sixth season on air.
