Robin Roberts came out as gay on Sunday, Dec. 29, saying in a Facebook post she was grateful for her "longtime girlfriend" Amber Laign.

But the Good Morning America host isn't the first celebrity to shed some light on her personal life in 2013. Roberts follows in the footsteps of fellow TV personalities, actors and athletes who all spoke publicly about their sexuality for the first time in the past year.

Let's take a look back at some of the celebrities who came out as gay in 2013!

Tom Daley: In early December, the British Olympic diver revealed in a heartfelt YouTube video he was dating a man (later revealed to be Oscar-winning writer Dustin Lance Black). "Of course, I still fancy girls," he said, "but right now I'm dating a guy and I couldn't be happier."

Bob Harper: On an episode of The Bigger Loser that aired in late November, the veteran trainer came out to inspire a contestant. "I haven't talked about my sexuality on this show ever, and now meeting Bobby [Saleem], I really do believe this is the right time," he said. "I want to show Bobby that he doesn't have to live in shame."

"I totally understand what you're talking about. I totally get it—I'm gay," he said. "I think that when I came out, when I was 17 years old, it was one of those kind of things where I realized there were so many obstacles...But being gay doesn't mean being weak. Being gay doesn't mean that you are less than anybody else. It's just who you are."

Wentworth Miller: The Prison Break star decided to reveal his sexuality in August after being invited to attend the St. Petersburg International Film Festival in Russia. In an open letter to the festival's director, Wentworth explained that "as a gay man" he "must decline" the invitation, adding that he was "deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government."

"The situation is in no way acceptable," he added, "and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly."

Darren Young: In August, the WWE superstar became the first ever openly gay pro wrestler, telling a TMZ cameraman, "I'm gay, and I'm happy. I'm very happy." He later admitted on Today he "was terrified" to publicly address his sexuality, but said, "At the end of the day, I want to be a role model. I want to be a role model to people who are afraid to come out, I want to be there and speak at functions and tell my story."

Jason Collins: The NBA center came out in an article he penned for Sports Illustrated's May 6 issue. "I didn't set out to be the first openly gay athlete playing in a major American team sport. But since I am, I'm happy to start the conversation," he wrote. "I wish I wasn't the kid in the classroom raising his hand and saying, 'I'm different.' If I had my way, someone else would have already done this. Nobody has, which is why I'm raising my hand."
