Fergie and Josh Duhamel Enjoy Dinner and a Movie on Date Night in Santa Monica

New parents left their little one at home as they took some time to themselves Sunday

Fergie and Josh Duhamel took some time to themselves Saturday, leaving their 4-month old, Axl, at home to grab dinner at Hillstone and watch The Secret Life of Walter Mitty in Santa Monica, Calif.

The new parents stepped out in casual garb for their evening out, with the Safe Haven star wearing a denim shirt and light-colored jeans, and Fergie rocking a leather jacket, printed top and black leather pants.

The Black Eyed Peas singer recently gushed to People about their baby boy's first Christmas, telling the mag, "It's all about baby Axl this year."

"It's really cute because he's been looking at the tree and the lights in our house and he's very fascinated by this and the ornaments," she went on. "He wants to touch it and feel the way that the bristles feel on his feet and hands and he's very curious about it. It's such a happy feeling as a parent to see the curiosity in your child's eyes."

On Christmas Eve, the couple shared an adorable holiday card on Instagram of their smiling son, with Fergie writing, "Have a Jolly Holiday!" in a caption beside it.

A source told E! News, the family would be spending the holidays at home this year, adding that their festivities would be "very quiet."
