Talk about a beautiful day. Or, more specifically, night.

Like they have since 2009, fellow Irishmen Bono and Glen Hansard joined forces to busk for charity with a few holiday tunes on Grafton Street in Dublin on Christmas Eve.

Wearing a pair of his signature shades, the U2 frontman teamed up with the lead singer of The Frames as well as a few other native singer-songwriters to serenade the crowd with songs like Slade's "Merry Xmas Everybody" and the classic standard "O Come All Ye Faithful."

Last year, the pair's repertoire included a rousing rendition of U2's "Desire." They were later joined by Sinead O'Conner for a stirring take on her huge hit "Nothing Compares 2 U."

As always, the annual acoustic jam session helped raise money for The Simon Community and the Peter McVerry Trust, which aid the homeless.

Earlier this month, Bono was one of thousands of people who packed into Johannesburg's FNB Stadium to honor and celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela. Charlize Theron and Naomi Campbell were among the other celebs in attendance as well as countless world leaders, including President Barack Obama.
