The wait is finally over...
Last night's premiere of Britney Spears' I Am Britney Jean was amazing and full of ups and downs. We got an exclusive look at preparations for Britney's new Las Vegas performance residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, we saw some wonderful time with her family and even got a look at some tense points during the final weeks of rehearsal.
In case you missed it or you just want to relive it, we've got the best moments from the movie event in a full pic/gif recap!
The special starts and we see some behind-the-scenes at Britney's Las Vegas promotional photoshoot.
There's fire and Britney looks hot...in the best way possible.
Britney talks about some career moments from her past. She reveals she really tries to stay away from negativity and just focus on her work.
But it's hard to escape sometimes...
She meets with her longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, and they pick the setlist for her "Britney: Piece of Me" Las Vegas show. We hear snippets of each song as they pick and it's already getting us excited!
Britney sits down with her show director and they start to go over the show.
She wants it to be over dramatic, fun and cheesy!
There's 112 days until opening night and Britney isn't wasting any time.
She meets with her new choreographer, Antony Ginandjar, and they start to go over some routines.
She spins that hair around and we know it's time for some Britney!
Gearing up for the show, Britney's team pulls a huge publicity stunt with Good Morning America. They have over 1,300 Britney look-alikes holding huge cards up in the air for Britney to see as she arrives in a helicopter.
It's a pretty amazing feat.
Britney talks more about what she imagines this show will be like and she wants it to be the biggest thing she's ever done.
She dishes on some childhood memories and we see some adorable pictures of her growing up.
Just look at her!
Some exclusive first looks of the new show come on screen and it looks crazy.
There's going to be fire, water, a huge tree, a 300 ft display screen and much more.
Britney admits the show is going to be really sexy and she reflects on some of her past tours.
She even gives us this little gem...
But now that she's older, she views some of her music differently and feels she's grown as an artist.
We feel you, girl.
Oh, you thought Britney just had to get ready for her gigantic Las Vegas show? Nope, she also has to shoot her music videos!
They're shooting "Work B**ch!" and there are real, live sharks down in that water!
Antony is gettin' into it!
Even though her music, her videos and her fashion are usually always over the top, it doesn't mean she always is...
But one thing that probably gets her out of her shell? Hot, shirtless guys.
It's finally time to pick some dancers for the big show and there are a lot of talented performers out there.
Over 800 people auditioned and they end up selecting only 15 dancers in total.
Britney helps pick out the dancers and she explains why she's involved in every single process...
There are 24 songs being performed and they now have 61 days to put together the show.
We love seeing the Queen go to work!
Antony and co-coreographer Ashley Evans go over some of the dance issues they're having.
We're distracted by their clothes...
They move rehearsal to a sound stage and we get the first couple glances of what the show is going to look like.
During rehearsal, one of the dancers says that one of the lyrics in "I'm A Slave 4 U" is "kitty kitty!" It's either "kitty kitty" or "get it, get it."
Britney sets the record straight!
They're still rehearsing for the show but during all of the craziness, her album Britney Jean gets released.
Britney's team decides to throw a big listening party!
Ryan Seacrest is there...
and will.i.am and Andy Cohen join the fun, too.
Britney's schedule doesn't ever seem to let up and she heads straight to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
It's Britney's birthday and Ellen jokingly gives her a basket of potato chips as a gift...
And then it's back to work preparing for Vegas!
The costumes have finally come in and they're starting to try some things on.
One of the dancers kinda freaked us out...
Now that they have some of the costumes, they can do a full run through of the show.
It's amazing what they've put together already!
But the rehearsal time and the intense choreography finally caught up with Britney...
She suffered whiplash and she injured her neck.
Now is the best time to relax and recover and thank goodness it's Thanksgiving time so she can do just that.
Britney goes home to her sons, Jayden and Sean, and they have nice family time together.
Jayden even plays the piano for her!
She loves it.
You can tell she really loves her boys and enjoys spending as much time with them as she can.
Britney and her family call Jamie Lynn Spears to wish her a happy Thanksgiving and we get to see some adorable pics of them growing up together!
Jamie talks about growing up with Britney and what it's been like so far to have her as a sister.
This has Britney reflect on her family and her relationships.
Britney even takes time out of her busy schedule and visit sick children in the hospital.
The faces of the ill kids light right up when Britney walks in the room and she spends time with every single one of them.
It's a really special moment.
And now, there's 22 days to the show and they're trying to get everything ready.
They're shooting video, constructing the set and we get to see it all.
Oh, remember that tree we talked about earlier?
Yeah, it's huge.
And Britney jumps out of it while water falls!
We're terrified just watching that!
Everything is starting to come together and they're putting the final touches on the show.
Jayden and Sean get to come watch their mom perform and they're in awe...
It cuts to Britney one last time and she talks about the wild ride it has been putting this show together.
And with that, we see intense moments from the show put together in a montage. We are officially pumped!
Just look at some of it...
The countdown hits zero and the time has finally come for the "Britney: Piece of Me" show in Las Vegas!
We're sad to see the documentary end but now we're even more excited for the show.
