"Doing the lingerie striptease, I'm not sure exactly how you would classify that, but it was very embarrassing," the 41-year-old actress says in an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview from the upcoming DVD release of the movie. "I was not comfortable at all, but, you know, it was a good challenge for me to put myself in a situation that I would never be in in my own life. I'm not an exhibitionist like that."
Paltrow continued, "And it was a challenge. It was definitely uncomfortable but it was great for me to find Phoebe. I'm this other woman and I'm really going to go for it. And it was fine. Mark is so lovely. He made it very easy."
Back when the flick came out, Paltrow opened up to E! News about the film's subject matter of sex addiction.
"The script was so well written and so smart and so specific and so funny," she said, adding, "and while also with dealing with the subject of people really coming to term, people bumping up against their own damage, having to come to terms with it and deal with it. So I just thought it would be a really interesting experience and it was."
