It's over.

Disney-ABC announced today that Katie Couric's daytime talk show, has reached the end of its run. The former CBS News anchor will host her final show of Katie in June 2014. At that time the series will reach the end of its second season in television syndication.

Although some fans will be sad to see Katie go, Couric and Disney-ABC stress that this decision was mutual and both parties are proud of the work that the series has accomplished in its short time on the air.

"While production will continue on "Katie" through June 2014, we've mutually agreed that there will not be a third season of the show." Couric and Disney-ABC said in a joint statement. "We're very proud of everyone's contributions to making Katie the #1 new syndicated talk show of 2012-2013, and we look forward to the rest of the season.

The always-effervescent journalist recently signed a deal with Yahoo as Global Anchor in 2014.

Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer announced in November that Couric will "lead a growing team of correspondents at Yahoo News who will cover the world's most interesting stories and newsmakers."
