Things are about to get real emotional, you guys.

It's been a while since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez called it quits, but it still hurts (it was supposed to be J.B. + S.G. 4eva!). And those who were especially saddened by the Hollywood couple's breakup may find themselves close to shedding a tear after hearing what Biebs had to say about it all.

The 19-year-old pop star stopped by Big Boy's Neighborhood for Power 106, and while promoting his new music on the Los Angeles hip-hip radio station, Bieber confessed that he's still in love with Selena.

"I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," he told Big Boy. "‘All That Matters' was written when I was in a great place in my relationship, and at that time, she was all that mattered in my life."

Bieber continued, "[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It's such a public thing. It's just hard for the both of us. But you know, she's a great woman. I love her till this day."

Awwww. But don't get your hopes up just yet. Justin added, "I think we're going to be the greatest of friends. Right now we're taking a little time and not talking."

Bieber's "All That Matters" track has been hitting the airwaves recently. Some of the lyrics from his Gomez-inspired single include, "You're all that matters to me/ Ain't worried about nobody else/ If it ain't you, I ain't myself/ You make me complete."

Justin didn't spend his entire interview reminiscing on what once was. The young celeb made sure to get in a good prank for fans.

In a short video clip, the Biebs said, "Um, I'm actually retiring, man." Although he said it with a straight face, we have a feeling the comment was said in fun and Bieber isn't really quitting music.

His reps had no comment, but a source told E! News, "Of course it's not true."

Whew.
