Justin Bieber's Journals album should give us all some insight into what's hatnin in that brain of his.

Hatnin—slang for happening—seems to have replaced swag in the Biebs' vocabulary. On Dec. 16, he shared three song snippets from his upcoming album on Instagram: "What's Hatnin." "Swap It Out" and "One Life."

"What's Hatnin" is an upbeat, repetitive track with frequent mentions of "baby girl" and a UFO. "One Life" sounds a lot like his Believe CD, and "Swap It Out," which seems to be a straightforward love song.

Can't keep up? Not to worry. Journals is set for a Dec. 23 release, and then fans can hear all 16 J.B. tracks. It was originally scheduled for a Dec. 16 release with only 15 tracks, but the Biebs felt the need to add that sweet No. 16 into the mix.

After this album drops, Believe, Justin's second documentary about his life, opens Dec. 25. But is that it for the 19-year-old superstar? On Tuesday, he made some fans squirm during a visit to Power 106 radio station when he said with a straight face, "I'm actually retiring, man."

He's scared Beliebers with this prospect before, but let's just hope he doesn't ever go through with it. YOLO, Justin, and you better make as much music as you can!
