If all is right in the world, Julia Roberts will guest star on the final season of Glee.

Roberts is quite tight with show creator Ryan Murphy. Not only did he direct her in Eat Pray Love, but he did the same in the upcoming HBO adaptation of the Tony-winning play The Normal Heart.

When asked Roberts if she'd want to appear on the show at her premiere of August: Osage County (in theaters Dec. 27), she cracked to E! News, "Only if [Ryan] wants to take the empire down."

When pressed, the Oscar winner said she'd be up for it. "If he came up with a some funny soap opera back from the dead moment for the last vestiges of the entire series, wouldn't that be fun!" she said.

It sure would be!

The Normal Heart, about the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, features Roberts as a doctor who realized just how serious the then-mystery disease was with costars including Jonathan Groff, Mark Ruffalo, Jim Parsons, Taylor Kitsch and Bomer.
