Bride-to-be Ashley Tisdale is dishing on her upcoming I-dos!

The 28-year-old former High School Musical star phoned in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Monday, Dec. 16, to talk about her engagement to fiancé Christopher Frenchwho popped the question to Tisdale in early August—as well as her new single "You're Always Here."

And despite the fact that the duo dated for only eight months before deciding to take the plunge, the blond beauty says she knew French was "the one" from the moment the pair first met.

"You know, I didn't [think it'd happen that quickly]," she admitted of the couple's whirlwind engagement. "I think I've obviously been in long relationships in the past, but I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn't have gone into a relationship, if it wasn't what I wanted. And I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it."

Tisdale, who is clearly excited to be Mrs. French, continued gushing over her hunky man.

"I was like, 'OK, this is the guy.' And he knew the same thing. It was just this feeling that it doesn't get any better. I can't explain it!" she shared. "It's just natural between us. With other relationships, you're trying too much and trying to make it work and then there's just a moment when you find somebody and you're like, ‘Holy s--t! This is so natural.'"

Sounds like the blond beauty has met her perfect match—even if she wasn't looking for a relationship when she happened to find French.

"I had no idea and I did not think that would happen and I was just so focused on other things and then suddenly it just kind of hits you," she revealed.

The Scary Movie 5 star also admitted she has "not yet" set a wedding date and gushed that planning the nuptials is "so much fun" while adorable dubbing her diamond sparkler her "favorite accessory."

So are the lovebirds planning a big or small fete for their wedding day?

"Small," Tisdale responded without hesitation. "And as private as we can get it."

In addition to planning her I-dos, Ashley has also been busy with her music, most recently releasing a new single titled "You're Always Here," which she wrote for her late grandfather.

"With all the amazing stuff that's happened this year, some moments haven't been so amazing. I lost my grandfather exactly three months ago, and it's always hard to lose someone no matter how old or how young," she told Seacrest. "I was inspired to start writing and it was helping me heal and I would go on walks and come home and have written stuff and Chris, who produces music, sat down and produced and we wrote this song together and that's the song for my grandfather."

So sweet.
