Miley Cyrus' unforgettable MTV Video Music Awards performance might have been a one-time deal.

The 21-year-old pop star took the stage at Power 96.1's Jingle Ball on Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Atlanta. But before she belted out a medley of her hits in a red-hot leotard and danced with Santa Claus, she dished about the biggest moment of her whirlwind year.

"Everyone else's biggest moment of me was the VMAs," the "We Can't Stop" singer revealed. "That was probably my biggest moment, I was pretty stoked to perform there, excited, you know."

But does Cyrus think she will be back at the VMAs for another go-around?

"I doubt they're ever gonna ask me back," Cyrus added.

So, is that an official no?

"Just kidding," she quipped. "Who knows."

Phew. The VMAs are a long way away so it is obviously too soon to tell who will sing at the show, but here's hoping that Cyrus does return.

Speculation about next year aside, Cyrus credits the provocative appearance as her way to show people what was on the horizon for her future performances.

"It kind of just opened so many doors for me to just be like, alright, I've already pissed you off as much as I possibly can," Cyrus explained. "So now I can kind of just be freer and kind of do whatever it is we want to do and also have a lot of fun."
