It's an honor to be nominated, sure, but let's be honest—everybody wants to win!

However, the talented movie actors and actresses who learned Dec. 12 that they're up for a 2014 Golden Globe do seem truly appreciative—and excited!—for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to have acknowledged their work.

Here's what the movie stars have had to say so far, but keep checking back for more nominee reactions added throughout the day!

Jennifer Lawrence (Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for American Hustle): "Thank you to the HFPA. This is so exciting. I'm thrilled that the film received so many nominations and that I get to share this with the rest of the cast."

Amy Adams (Best Leading Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for American Hustle): "I am so honored that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has recognized my work alongside such brilliant actresses. Also a huge congrats to the amazing writers, directors, and casts of American Hustle and Her for their nominations. Truly a day for gratitude."

Bradley Cooper (Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for American Hustle): "I'm humbled that the HFPA recognized American Hustle in such a big way. I'm so happy for David O. Matthew McConaughey: (Best Leading Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama for Dallas Buyers Club): "I'm excited and honored that the HFPA has recognized my performance in Dallas Buyers Club.
