"And now the most deadly weapon of 'em all: my hands."
File that one under sentences we never expected to hear come out of The Goldberg's Barry's (Troy Gentile) mouth!
But that's exactly what fans will be hearing and seeing from the scene-stealing middle child in tonight's all-new episode of ABC's breakout comedy, which finds Barry showing off his karate skills for his bewildered (and slightly panicked) parents Murray and Beverly (Jeff Garlin and Wendi McLendon-Covey). We've got your exclusive first look at Barry's hilarious moves, which are obviously inspired by The Karate Kid.
Word of advice: don't drink anything while watching as it will come out of your nose. That's how hard you will be laughing. (Learn from our mistakes, people!)
In tonight's episode, aptly titled "Kara-Te," Beverly is forced to step in when a teacher, played by Saturday Night Live vet Tim Meadows, won't let Barry perform his sick karate moves at the upcoming talent show. And hell hath no fury like momma Beverly scorned!
Of course, she and the rest of the family, including Barry's little brother/karate-assistant-with-a-lightsaber Adam (Sean Giambrone), question whether or not Barry can pull the performance off after getting a sneak preview, which you can watch above! Will he crack under pressure...or will he remain solid and sturdy like the wood board he can't crack?!
And good news for fans of laughing: The Goldbergs was recently picked up for a full season by ABC, along with Trophy Wife, the network's other charming comedy. Huzzah!
The Goldbergs airs tonight at 9 p.m. on ABC.
