Jamie Lynn Spears is paying homage to her big sister Britney Spears.

The 22-year-old performed at Eddie's Attic on Thursday, Dec. 5 in Decatur, Georgia and gave the audience a surprise throwback treat.

The aspiring country artist began by belting out, joined by her band, a slow tune called "Ms. Mississippi." About two minutes into the song, the singer flipped her wavy blond hair to the side and the band shifted the melody to the pop mega hit.

"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah," Spears crooned to the beat as the crowd cheered. No red leather jumpsuit, backup dancers or scenery from outer space like the memorable music video, but we have to say, her vocals are spot on!

Spears couldn't help but chuckle as she sang the chorus and even added Brit's notorious heart-beating gesture dance move. She then seamlessly transitioned back to the soulful "Ms. Mississippi."

"You gotta throw it back to your sister at some point, right?" Spears said after the mash-up song ended. "My sister's been a big influence on my life, so of course you gotta throw it back to her," she added. "So a big round of applause for my sister."

Spears opened up to E! News exclusively last month about her promising music career, saying "I don't think you just wake up one morning and decide you're going to sing. It's something I've always done."

"But as a young child, like I said, all that was offered to me. You don't know how to say, like, 'Oh, this is what I want for the rest of my life.' You can't make those kind of decisions at 10 years old."

The former Zoey 101 star, who is mom to 5-year-old Maddie, also recently released the music video for her new track, "How Could I Want More."
