Some of music's biggest names could not contain their excitement after receiving word that they had been nominated for a Grammy. Or, in many cases, multiple Grammys.

Taylor Swift, who ripped off her dress to reveal a sexy ensemble during her performance at the nominations concert from her "Red" Tour in Australia, tweeted an all caps ecstatic message shortly after hearing the news.

"I LOVE YOU GUYS WE GOT AN ALBUM OF THE YEAR NOMINATION AND I AM TOO EXCITED TO USE PUNCTUATION," she wrote.

The country star scored four nominations, including the aforementioned Album of the Year nod, Best Country Album, Best Country Song ("Begin Again") and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("Highway Don't Care").

Katy Perry shared her reaction the morning after, saying "Well, that's a great way to wake up! Thank you @TheGRAMMYs for my TWO nominations!"

The 28-year-old pop star is up for Song of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance, both for "Roar."

The "Unconditionally" singer also sent a congratulatory message to Album of the Year nominee Sara Bareilles, as well as a shoutout to four-time nominee Kacey Musgraves.

Bareilles seemed stunned by the recognition, saying "I never in a billion million years thought I'd be nominated for Album of the Year. I'm literally shaking. Best birthday ever. Woah."

Here is a sampling of other star's reacting to their nods on Twitter:

Lorde: "FOUR"

Kelly Clarkson: "Hey @VGcom we just got nominated for a Grammy! Congrats you sexy soul singer! :)"

Robin Thicke: :What an incredible honor, thank you to the Grammy committee for the nomination. This is the icing on the cake for this year. @TheGRAMMYs"

Pharrell Williams: "Man-nnn...thank you so much! "@TheGRAMMYs: Congrats @pharrell with 7 nominations! #GRAMMYnoms"

Ed Sheeran: "Oh, apparently I got 2 nominations. Super sweet wicked awesome"

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will take place Jan. 26 at Los Angeles' Staples Center and be broadcast live on CBS.
