Whitney Houston did a bang-up job yesterday. And we're not talking about her career.
The superstar chanteuse literally got into a minor scrape Wednesday, rear-ending a bus with her sports car near her home in Alpharetta, Georgia. No one was hurt in the accident.
The fender-bender occurred in the afternoon, when Houston was trying to turn left into oncoming traffic and--after allegedly failing to look both ways--rammed her Porsche into the back of a city bus. The collision crushed the diva's bumper, while the bus sustained only minor damage.
Houston, 41, was subsequently issued with a misdemeanor citation for failure to yield and will most likely have to pay a fine.
"It was a very, very minor traffic accident," said Houston publicist Nancy Seltzer. "She's fine."
The Grammy winner and hubby Bobby Brown live in a posh residence not far from the town, a suburb of Atlanta.
Aside from needing to brush up on her driving skills, the "I Get Emotional" singer is taking it easy this holiday season after what started off as a--pardon the pun--bumpy year.
About a year ago, Brown was busted for allegedly roughing Houston up during a domestic dispute. (He is still facing trial for the incident.) Then in March, Houston voluntarily checked herself into drug and alcohol rehab. In July, she teamed up with Natalie Cole and Dionne Warwick for a tour of Europe and played her first ever shows in China.
Meanwhile, Houston will also appear in Brown's upcoming Bravo reality series, Being Bobby Brown, slated to debut at the end of 2005.
