In an all out sprint across an Alaskan glacier, the dating couple from Boston defeated Tim and Marie and Nicole and Travis to be crowned the newest winners of The Amazing Race.
We chatted with co-creator and executive producer Elise Doganieri and she told us they really tried to push our finalists to their ultimate limits in this finale. Doganieri tells us that when planning this last final stretch of the race, their goal was to "drain" the contestants as much as possible.
The executive producer revealed, "After 12 legs of the race, so we really test the contestants mentally, physically and even emotionally. We really drained them of every strip of confidence or any last little bit of emotion that they had out of them, and we really pushed them to come together as a team."
Curious to know what's coming up in the next season of the Emmy award winning hit? Of course you are! Doganieri, also spilled exclusive details on what's ahead for season 24.
"We are well into the next season, and we are going into countries that we have never been to before so that's exciting! I think it's one of our most dynamic casts so far and I think viewers are going to be really excited about the teams that we have cast for next season," she explained.
But if you think that next season is going to be an easy breezy walk in the park—think again! "I think it's going to be one of the most challenging seasons," she continued. "We find that when a lot of people have been watching the show for many many seasons, they think they know the race really well and the cast comes on thinking, 'I have seen this a million times, I know exactly what to expect.' So we are definitely throwing in some twists and some curve balls into this season coming up. Get ready for season 24!"
