Ron Burgundy is telling you the news, for real.

The highly entertaining San Diego mustached newsman, portrayed by Will Ferrell, anchored the KXMB evening newscast in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Saturday, Nov. 30. And he did not disappoint.

The half-hour CBS affiliate program began with a quick video of holiday shoppers steering clear of big stores and opting to support smaller businesses, also known as Small Business Saturday.

As soon as the short story, read by weekend cohost Amber Schatz, was finished, the duo was unveiled at the anchor desk.

Sporting his trademark burgundy blazer and his familiar voice, he declared "I'm Ron Burgundy, thank you for joining us tonight" before launching seamlessly into the headlines.

But of course, the star of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues veered away from the news and managed to drop some hysterical lines throughout the broadcast.

"Amber, you look lovely tonight, are you married?" he asked his cohost.

When Schatz admitted she was not married, Ferrell quipped "well I am, so don't get any ideas."

Ferrell also expressed that he is "fond" of mustaches right before another host asked Ferrell how long it took him to grow his famous facial hair.

"This? About 20 minutes," he joked.

And here is some very good news: KXMB is sharing the entire newscast!

Ron Burgundy, along with our favorite news team, will hit the big screen on Dec. 18.
