It's hard to believe that anyone would be mean to a former Miss Alabama USA in her home state...but we are talking about one of the biggest rivalries in college football, after all!

Katherine Webb, an Auburn graduate whose boyfriend, AJ McCarron, is the University of Alabama's star quarterback, admitted in a recent interview that she's "really nervous" about attending this Saturday's Iron Bowl—the legendary annual game between the intrastate rivals.

"This is the first actual game, Iron Bowl, that I will be attending," the beauty queen turned Carl's Jr. hottie and aspiring actress told USA Today, revealing that she had to sell her student ticket one year because she was low on cash. "I don't know what to expect."

Well, she might want to assume that the sportscasters are going to fawn all over her, as Brent Musburger did during the BCS National Championship game, but other than that...

    What's she worried about?!

"Honestly, I don't know what to expect," Webb continued. "A.J. just in his protective nature, we talked about it...And he was like, ‘I'm concerned. I don't know what the fans are gonna do.' And I'm like, ‘It's OK. I'll be sweet, genuine and nice like I always am if anything were to happen. Even in my experience at Auburn, it's been very, very rare to see fans that have been rude or anything like that."

Like we said, it's hard to envision anyone being pointedly rude to the overnight celeb, who parlayed her 15 minutes into a much longer stay in the spotlight.

While a certain amount of pageantry accompanies all storied college sporting events, this year's Iron Bowl has national title implications. The winner will play in the SEC Championship game, with the winner of that almost certainly, depending on what a few other schools do this weekend, going to the BCS title game.

So, who knows how riled up the crowd will get?! Webb, however, insists she's not worried about the fans.

"Of course I want to see A.J. have that fourth championship ring, so I really want them to do well," the conflicted Alabaman said. "That's what I'm nervous about. I'm not nervous about his talent or abilities as a player. Of course, I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about the outcome."

While college football season was kicking into full gear, the 24-year-old's rep shot down reports back in September that she and McCarron had broken up and Webb herself tweeted, "Don't believe everything you hear."
