Martha Stewart is defending her many Twitter food pics, which some fans have called "gross" and "disgusting."

While appearing on this morning's episode of the Today show, the 72-year-old lifestyle guru was asked about the close-up shots of different meals she's been sharing on Twitter recently.

"Some people are surprised by the photo quality," cohost Tamron Hall said to Stewart while showing some of her questionable photos on a prompter.

"That's a delicious onion soup," Stewart argued. "That's an iceberg lettuce salad with Russian dressing...It is delicious."

Stewart added with a laugh, "I'm going to take a lot more pictures on Thanksgiving, so all of you out there who love my photos, just watch."

Stewart began posting the "gross" food Twitpics earlier this month, causing lots of foodie backlash.

While at a gala event the other week, she posted a shot of one intriguing plate, writing, "First course. Land and sea. Uni. Seaweed bone marrow by Dominique CERN s. F."

Another time, she shared a pic of, "Foie gras walnut brioche. Delicious by Kristen Kishinev."

And let's not forget that questionable wedge salad and onion soup meal. "Best slow cooked onion soup with baguette croutons and gruyere and Comte cheese melted on top. Garden onions," she shared, followed by, "Iceberg wedge with homemade Russian dressing. Perfect salad for the onion soup lunch."

Stewart has obviously caught on to the backlash against her photos. Her most recent food pic caption reads, "Now if any one thinks this is a bad photo you are ridiculous. Tartuffi bianchi and fettuccine at le cirque."

LOL!
