The "Womanizer" singer's little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears, has unleashed her debut single, a heartfelt country ditty called "How Could I Want More." By the sound of it, there could be a Nashville star in the making.
"Treats me like a princess, lets me have it my way/I Could tell he's hanging with every word that I say/All he does is love me, he swears that's what he's here for," the younger Spears sings. "So, how could I want more? How could I want more?"
"SURPRISE! My first single is available NOW on iTunes," Jamie Lynn announced to her more than 500,000 Twitter followers on the morning of Monday, Nov. 25.
She later added, "I wanted y'all to be the FIRST to hear the new song! Thanks for being so excited!!!"
Jamie Lynn's tender country tune finds her reflecting on her search for Mr. Right (who in real life happens to be her fiancé Jamie Watson). It comes on the heels of her duet with Britney on the latter's song, "Chillin' With You," which is featured on her sibling's upcoming eighth studio album, Britney Jean. No doubt that collaboration will raise her musical profile.
It's not known yet when the 22-year-old Zoey 101 star plans to drop her debut album. But Spears—who's now raising 5-year-old daughter Maddie in Nashville while she pursues a solo career—told E! News recently that she's excited about her foray into the music biz.
"It's seeing it all here and it's real," she said. "It's like, 'Oh my goodness, I'm really gonna do this.' It's like my second baby."
