Sosie Bacon, the 21-year-old daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2014 by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the announcment taking place at tonight's awards season kick-off party at West Hollywood hot spot Fig & Olive.
"I'm really excited!" Sosie exclusively told E! News tonight. "Very, very excited."
In what has become an annual tradition, the HFPA crowns the daughter of a famous actor (or two) Miss Golden Globe each year. Last year, Francesca Eastwood (daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher) nabbed the title.
Other recent Miss Golden Globes have included Rumer Willis, Jack Nicholson's little girl Lorraine Nicholson and Andie MacDowell's daughter Rainey Qualley.
And believe it or not, Fifty Shades of Grey's very own Anastasia Steele, Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson's daughter Dakota Johnson, received the honor back in 2006.
But who is this year's Miss Golden Globe, besides the daughter of famous people? Here are five things to know about Sosie Bacon:
She's Been Acting for Years: Sosie made her acting debut at the age of 11 playing a younger version of her mother in the film Lover Boy. She also played the role of Charlie in TNT's hit series The Closer and can next be seen in the independent horror film Off Season.
She's a Total Klutz: Sosie says she's "absolutely" scared of tripping on the Golden Globes' stage. "That's my biggest fear...I'm so bad at walking in heels. Clumsy is an understatement. I trip all the time."
