Lohan and her lawyer Mark Heller had a meeting with District Court Judge Andrew Engel in which the judge reportedly asked that Lohan undergo a treatment evaluation before her next court appearance, according to Newsday. Lohan's attorney also submitted a report to the judge claiming that Lindsay Lohan's mother is "free of any alcohol or substance issues."
Outside the court, Heller spoke to the media and blamed—wait for it—the media for his client's bad decisions.
"The circumstances leading to Dina's arrest were largely impacted by ongoing daily stresses caused by you folks, the paparazzi, media attention and distorted tabloid character profiles," Heller read from an actual court report. "After meeting Dina and her family and witnessing the care, compassion and concern shared between family members, it is my hope that the courts will take the circumstances and challenges of Dina's lifestyle under consideration in prosecuting this case."
Lohan's next court date is scheduled for Jan. 7.
Lohan was arrested in Long Island on Sept. 12 at 11 p.m. after being pulled over and given a blood alcohol test by cops. She had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system (.20).
At the time, New York police said after being taken in to a local station, "Lohan made an allegation that she was injured during the course of the arrest. State Police called an ambulance to have Lohan evaluated. When emergency personnel arrived and evaluated Lohan, there were no injuries, and she recanted her claim."
