Watch: Will Arnett Puts Santa to Work

OK, Will Arnett, there is a Santa Claus.

He exists as certainly and as love and sitcoms and bromances exist. But Amy Poehler's ex doesn't seem to believe anymore, telling E! News Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the 2013 Women's Guild Cedars Sinai gala he's "trying to figure out how long we can keep the Santa Claus myth going" for sons Abel and Archie.

"We live in the age of information so kids are finding stuff out quick," the We're The Millers star said. "But what's really great about Santa is that you can use him…"

Meaning? "When your kids act up, you'll be like, 'Santa sees everything,'" he quipped. "Idon't care what you do, but if you don't finish your dinner, you're gonna be out of luck on Christmas."

He's joking, of course! But Abel, 3, and Archie, 5, don't just have dad scheming Santa against them—mom's in on it, too!

Last year Amy chatted with David Letterman about an iPhone app she uses to trick the boys into behaving better. "If they're acting badly you can take the call [that says it's from the North Pole] and do a very elaborate fake call," she said. "And you either say, 'Santa, you're right, I think the deal's off. I think you should come…'"

Dave was horrified at this, and Amy quickly clarified, "I don't do that! I plead their case!" She told Jolly Ol' Saint Nick. In fact, she pleads their case: "I'm like, 'Santa, they're great kids! Give them another chance!'"

Well obviously any child with Poehler and Arnett DNA is going to be on the nice list! As for Santa and the magic surrounding him—is it all real? Yes, Will and Amy, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding...Thank God! He lives, and he lives forever.
