Alyssa Milano is speaking out after reports surfaced questioning the cause of Brittany Murphy's death in 2009.

"This Brittany Murphy s--t is heartbreaking," the former Charmed actress wrote. "Sweet girl. Sweet, beautiful, girl."

Murphy's father, Angelo Bertolotti, is said to have been dissatisfied with the coroner's ruling that his daughter died from pneumonia and anemia at the age of 32 from the very beginning.

He finally secured samples of the actress' hair, blood and tissue and submitted them for independent testing.

The results, however, hinted at something more sinister than the coroner's original findings.

According to lab reports first obtained by The Examiner, "Ten (10) of the heavy metals evaluated were detected at levels higher than the WHO [The World Health Organization] high levels. Testing the hair strand sample identified as 'back of the head' we have detected ten (10) heavy metals at levels above the WHO high levels recommendation."

The report added, "If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent."

The documents noted that "these heavy metals are most frequently found in rodenticides and insecticides. Her father knew that she had displayed the symptoms from heavy metal poisoning, including headaches, abdominal cramps, wheezing, disorientation, congestion and pneumonia."

Murphy's body was discovered by her husband, Simon Monjack, inside their Hollywood Hills home on Dec. 20, 2009.
