There's a catwalker catfight brewing between Tyra Banks and Carmen Electra.
On the high heels of Banks' America's Next Top Model on UPN comes Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model, a male version of the reality supermodel hunt on Bravo hosted by the former Baywatch babe.
"Carmen Electra has just the right mix of energy, magnetism and fun to be the ideal host and guide for the young, novice competitors on Manhunt," Bravo boss Lauren Zalaznick says in a statement.
Manhunt features an eight-episode competition between 15 hunky hotties battling for a one-year contract with the IMG modeling agency. The show begins by tagging along with seasoned modeling scouts as they scour the streets of America searching for perfect male runway material. The 15 finalists will face off in a series of challenges until the pool is whittled down to one.
Electra, who shot to fame on Baywatch and MTV's Singled Out and who has become a top model and TV personality in her own right as a centerfold, actress and costar with hubby Dave Navarro of MTV's 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave, will serve as a host and judge. She'll be joined by models Bruce Hulse, aka "the Calvin Klein man," and Marisa Miller, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, who will share judging duties.
Manhunt is just one of the model-centric reality shows on the horizon this fall. The third season of America's Next Top Model debuts Sept. 22 on UPN. Then, rising stars in fashion design will compete in two different series: Project Runway, hosted by Heidi Klum on Bravo, and The Cut on CBS, which will bow in 2005.
Manhunt will premiere Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. on Bravo.
