Demi Lovato has a long history with the Jonas Brothers. And when the group announced they had officially disbanded last month, the X Factor judge was just as taken aback as everyone else.

"I think everyone was surprised," the singer-songwriter told E! News, following the double elimination on the X Factor on Thursday, Nov. 14. "I don't think anyone was expecting it but they're off doing their own things and they're happy and I support them."

The 21-year-old star also said that she keeps in contact with Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas.

"They're brothers to me and I've gone through so much with them," the blue-haired Texan revealed.

As for the JoBros, Joe and Nick reunited on stage one last time during the Telehit Awards Concert on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in Mexico City. Kevin could not attend because he was "focusing on business ventures," a source close to the musical group told E! News exclusively.

"As announced earlier, the band is no longer together," the source revealed. "However, the guys had made a commitment to Telehit and wanted to keep that commitment."

"It's a lot of pressure," Nick said of performing with Joe for the last time. "We actually didn't know that until just a couple of minutes ago. We were actually surprised by that. But it'll be great."

The pop group officially called it quits less than three weeks after they canceled their fall tour due to "a deep rift within the band."

"There are no personal issues," a source exclusively told E! News at the time. "They just all wanted different things. They love each other. They always will."
