Mum's the word when it comes to Kerry Washington discussing her pregnancy.

The Scandal star stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, for an appearance that will air on Thursday, Nov. 14, and dished about her grandchildren, but not her baby on the way.

Ellen DeGeneres decided to take out a (large) stack of magazines that feature the 36-year-old actress starring on the cover.

"This is like my worst nightmare!" the New York native exclaimed.

"Alright, well, I'll go through it really fast," the talk show host said. "But you're on every single magazine right now."

Those magazines, most of them with some serious photoshop love, include Knitting Weekly, Chess Masters and Kale Quarterly, which featured Washington donning a gown made out of the vegetable.

"Kale is really good for you," Washington quipped. "Listen you know I'm a Lady Gaga fan, so when she did the meat dress I said I would do the kale dress."

"Good for you. Y'all could get together and have an entire meal!" DeGeneres said.

Ha!

All kidding aside, Washington admitted that her mother is in charge of keeping track of the real magazines so that future generations in her family can see them and look back.

"I put her in charge of all of that because like early on I figured, well you know, I might have a grandchild one day who wants to see this stuff, but I don't want to live with this stuff in my house," Washington said. "So I send it all to my mother and she archives it. She gets to be proud."

"Same with me," DeGeneres responded.
