'Scuse us one second while we have a fan girl moment: MONICA AND CHANDLER FOREVER AND EVER! THEIR LOVE IS ETERNAL AND NOTHING HURTS!

And we're back. Sorry about that, but as die-hard Friends fans, that's the only reaction we had when TBS announced that Matthew Perry would be reuniting with his onscreen wife Courteney Cox for an episode of Cougar Town. Don't judge us. We're only human.

Details on his role haven't been announced yet, aside from the fact that he'll appear in one episode. Perry must be returning the favor to Cox, who appeared on his short-lived NBC sitcom Go On. That was the first time those two appeared together on the small screen since making our hearts sing on that little show called Friends.

Cox's character is married on the show so we know he can't be playing a love interest for her, unless Cougar Town really wants to shake things up. On a related note, Monica and Chandler made it all the way to the final four of our epic Best TV Couples of All Time tournament before getting knocked out by Glee's Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele).

Since Friends ended in 2004, Perry has had a long string of critically-acclaimed but short-lived follow-up series: Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and ABC's Mr. Sunshine. The four-time Emmy nominee has also appeared on CBS' hit series The Good Wife.

Cougar Town returns with its fifth season on Tuesday, January 8 on TBS.  Let's hit up the comments together and talk about our favorite Monica and Chandler moments, shall we?
