It was a pretty sweet day for a bunch of Mariah Carey superfans.

Appearing in a hilarious bit on Tuesday night's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the R&B songstress surprised several of her most die-hard Lambs, whom the funnyman invited to a listening session for her new song, "The Art of Letting Go."

"They're gonna listen to it. And we're gonna get their reactions," a mischievous Fallon told viewers. "They have no idea. Mariah's going to be actually singing it live in the recording studio right next to them and she's gonna walk out…and they're gonna go crazy."

Needless to say, the expressions of shock when their music idol enters the room crooning her new ditty are pretty priceless—all while a giggling Fallon watched the scene from the couch.

Upon seeing her, one guy yelled, "Shut up!" Meanwhile, other fans who hummed and snapped their fingers along to the tune gasped at her appearance.

"This is just so fun. Oh my gosh, it's the most fun thing ever," exclaimed the comedian.

No doubt it was a memory Carey's Lambs will long cherish. For those who haven't heard "The Art of Letting Go" yet, you can download it here.
