The Oscar winner, who turns 31 tomorrow, enjoyed an early birthday celebration Sunday night with husband Adam Shulman at vegetarian restaurant Crossroads in West Hollywood.
Shulman went for the very SoCal blazer-and-tie-with-jeans look, while Hathaway channeled her inner punk rocker in black short-shorts worn over sheer leopard-print tights, a black blouse buttoned up to the neck, a black jacket, black peep-toe ankle booties and a spiky statement necklace.
She kept her adorable pixie cut simple, perhaps knowing that the gel look would have been a little much.
According to Us Weekly, Hathaway and Shulman celebrated with a big group of friends, including Amy Adams and fiancé Darren LeGallo, in the restaurant's private wine room.
It's been a festive few weeks for Hathaway, who hosted the Pink Park 2013 benefit on Oct. 19 in honor of a friend who beat cancer and was spotted getting her L.A. yard ready for trick-or-treaters before Halloween.
One party that isn't in her planner just yet, however, is a baby shower: Last week, the actress' rep denied that Hathaway is pregnant with her and Shulman's first child after Star reported that her brother had spilled the so-called beans at a comedy show in New York.
