Kacey Musgraves is relatively new in the music biz, so let's give her a break on this one.

During last night's Country Music Awards, Miranda Lambert (looking slimmer and sexier than ever) took home the trophy for Female Vocalist of the Year, a category which newcomer Musgraves was also nominated for, but when Blake Shelton's missus took the stage to give her acceptance speech, the 25-year-old brunette beauty couldn't hide the look of disappointment on her face.

Well, you can't blame her for feeling sad. But as Lambert is actually congratulating Kacey on her award for New Artist of the Year, the camera showed the "Follow Your Arrow" singer wearing a frozen frown on her mug.

"Kasey congratulations on new artist that was awesome. These Texas girls gotta stick together," Miranda says as the camera cuts to a seemingly upset Kasey.

Musgraves cowrote Lambert's 2013 single "Mama's Broken Heart.

The gracious Lambert, after accepting the honor, also gushed over every other female in the category, including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. Swift and Clarkson both beamed as Miranda paid compliments to her fellow female country artists.

This year, Musgraves tied with Taylor Swift as the top nominee at the CMA awards, receiving six nods, including Album of the Year and Single of the Year in addition to Female Vocalist of the Year. She took home one award: New Artist of the Year.

Despite her frown, girl looked fabulous, graciously accepting her own accolade, and we're sure there'll be many more awards in her future.
