The Miss Universe Pageant should introduce a special category this year: Cutest Couple in the Wings.
E! News caught up with the singer-actor and the outgoing Miss Universe in Moscow, where Culpo will help crown her successor this weekend, and they were extremely supportive of each other and sounded genuinely happy to be halfway around the world together.
Asked what he's learned about his girlfriend of several months while watching her go about her Miss Universe duties in Russia, Nick sounded genuinely impressed.
"Ever since, beyond just this trip, I think that this trip specifically though, just seeing...all the hard work, but watching her and what she's done this last year and a half of her life, it's amazing," the newly solo artist said. "She puts a lot of hard work in and I'm just happy to be a part of it and do whatever I can."
Olivia, who looked adoringly at her man as he talked adoringly about her, then credited Nick with providing a respite from her packed schedule.
"Well, time with my family and a good relationship is definitely what makes it easy," she said, again looking at her boyfriend, "so those things kind of balance out with the hard work. And being able to give back and being able to inspire people with the crown and sash is an honor.
"It's something that I was only able to do for just the year, and I'm just excited to have had that and to be able to pass it on to somebody else."
And pass it on she will this Saturday, to one of the 86 beauties vying for her crown at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorst, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
"It's great," Nick said again about being around to witness the process. "I'm so happy to be able to come and be a part of the...support.
"She's obviously someone I care a lot about, so I'm happy to be here and it's a nice trip for me to just come and enjoy."
Sounds like we've got a winning couple right here.
