Tom Hiddleston is no stranger to Hollywood. Not only does he play Loki in the Thor and Avengers movies, but he costarred in Steven Spielberg's epic War Horse and Woody Allen cast him as F. Scott Fitzgerald in Midnight in Paris.

But it was his work with Kermit the Frog in the next Muppets movie, Muppets Most Wanted, that seems to have left the biggest impression. "It was amazing," Hiddelston told me last night at the premiere of Thor: The Dark World (in theaters on Friday). "I got completely starstruck. I have to tell you, I have peaked! It's all downhill from here. I will never such a juicy gig again!"

Oh, we doubt that.

In fact, next up for the ginger hottie is Crimson Peak opposite Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam and Mia Wasikowska for director Guillermo del Toro.

And now there's a growing fanboy campaign for Hiddleston to get his own Loki movie.

"I don't know about that," he said. "We'll have to wait and see."

Hiddleston revealed during an appearance yesterday on Chelsea Lately that he originally auditioned to play the hammer-wielding Thor. He put on about 20 pounds of muscle before meeting with the franchise's first director Kenneth Branagh.

"It was really fun, actually," Hiddleston said. "And I've never done anything like that before. I basically went from 180 pounds to 198 pounds and I had something like seven percent body fat."
