Y'all, back when President George W. Bush was in office, Miley Cyrus was still a sweet, wholesome Disney princess.

But somewhere in the midst of President Barack Obama's two terms in the White House, Hannah Montana shed that good girl image and evolved into the twerktastic, frequently naked Bangerz beauty we know today. Thanks, Obama!

There's obviously no correlation between who's in political power and how raunchy a pop star is, but Miley isn't one to miss out on a great meme! On Thursday, Nov. 5, the 20-year-old singer tweeted a funny image of Zach Galifianakis in the vein of the satirical "Thanks, Obama" meme that blames our current president for—well, pretty much everything.

In this case? Miley jokes that she ditched—or murdered, if you will—Hannah Montana and the whole teen idol schtick because of the prez. She shared the graphic of a befuddled Zach and the words, "She was Hannah Montana when Bush was president. Thanks Obama."

Ha! Really, though, Miley girl's a supporter of Barack's (even though he can't take credit for her image transformation). During the 2012 reelection campaign, Miley tweeted her support for the Democratic incumbent. Naturally, she urged her followers to #ROCKTHEVOTE with a picture of herself—tongue out!—in a sleeveless Obama shirt.

So, thanks Obama! Now carry on with the Party in the USA, y'all.
