Kerry Washington and Eminem are two names you probably never expected to hear in the same sentence, but this weekend, the unlikely pair are teaming up for Saturday Night Live!
Well, to be clear, the Scandal star is hosting the show this Saturday, Nov. 2, and the rapper is—not surprisingly—performing as the musical act. In the latest SNL promo, Kerry, concealing her baby bump with a loose dress, is a giggly, exuberant ball of energy talking about how much fun the show is going to be, but Em seems far less enthused.
When SNL regular Nasim Pedrad cheerfully asks the rapper, "Eminem, are you having fun?," he refuses to acknowledge her perkiness and continues to stare straight ahead. Kerry, however, keeps up the positivity, doing a little dance of sorts while Eminem stays in his own zone.
In the second part of the clip, Kerry says after Saturday's "great show," the gang is "going out for cupcakes"—noting this was Eminem's idea. In response, the rapper turns to face the pregnant star and deadpans, "I love cupcakes."
Well, alright then. Who wants to place their bets on whether Em will be popping up in any skits?
