It doesn't sound like Jon Gosselin's relationship with ex-wife Kate Gosselin is on the mend in any sense of the word.

"I wish her the best in all that she does, but [we're] just moving in totally two different directions, just totally not on the same page at all about anything," the 36-year-old former Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality TV dad tells Oprah Winfrey in a special airing this coming Sunday.

"At this point, there is no cooperation, there is nothing," he says. "There's two different totally parenting styles, two different totally everythings. Which is a shame, because it affects me, but it really affects my children."

Last month, it was revealed that Jon is currently working as a waiter at a Pennsylvania restaurant. He also now lives in a cabin "in the woods" without TV or internet access. "I don't really have a relationship with Kate. It's more texting, custodial stuff," he continues. "I don't really know what goes on in Kate's house, and she really doesn't know what goes on in my house."

Earlier this month, Kate opened up to Bethenny Frankel about the state of her relationship with Jon. "Somebody once told me that if you feel sadness and empathy and pity for someone, the root of that is love," Kate said of her current feelings towards Jon.

When asked about Jon's relationship with their eight kids, Kate said, "They visit him every other weekend. He has a dinner night with them. Without going into to much detail, we are making the best of it."

"I definitely want them to know that I did not want to hinder or stand in the way of that relationship with him," she continued. "So I do everything I can to foster that, because it is important and you have to have the ability to remove judgment and ugliness from that. The best thing for my kids is that I give them the opportunity and the ability to continue that relationship. When they are older if they don't want to do it anymore or whatever decisions they make, that is their business. For now, my job is to foster that bond."
