Khloé Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom aren't ready to throw in the towel just yet. Though they hit a rough patch in August, the spouses are committed to making their four-year marriage work. In fact, a source tells E! News exclusively that they've been having "secret meetings" to address their issues.
"They have been spending an increasing amount of time together," the source says of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians couple. "At one time it seemed like a reconciliation was impossible and divorce was inevitable. Things may have turned a corner."
Kardashian Odom has taken note of her husband's sobriety, the source adds. "Lamar has done it all by himself and with his friends. He has a focus: getting himself on a team. He is working hard at that."
The unsigned NBA player has even resumed contact with his wife's immediate family. "They are all starting to see that his dark days may be over," the source says of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
Indeed, the two made a rare public appearance when they attended Kanye West's concert at L.A.'s Staples Center on Monday, Oct. 28. They arrived with Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian and hung out in the VIP section with 12-15 people.
While Odom is focused on maintaining his sobriety and playing professional basketball again, his No. 1 priority is smoothing things over with his wife. "He has never stopped loving Khloé. He adores her," the source tells E! News. "And he wants to prove to her that he is the same person she married."
Odom has come a long way in a short amount of time—and his wife is proud of his progress. "Khloé is starting to forgive Lamar for his past," says the source. "We'll have to see what happens."
