Jane Seymour is looking to make the end of her marriage official.

The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star filed for a legal separation from husband James Keach last week, more than six months after the pair said that they were planning on divorcing.

Seymour, 62, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and left the date of separation "TBD," according to court documents obtained by E! News.

They have two children together, 17-year-old twin sons Kristopher and John. Seymour is asking for joint physical and legal custody and has asked the court that she not be ordered to pay any spousal support.

She and Keach married on May 15, 1993, and separated earlier this year.

After a rep confirmed their intention to divorce in April, Seymour opened up about the split on The View.

"Obviously, it's really devastating," the former Bond Girl told the ladies. "It did happen a while ago. It was sort of kept quiet."

But she also said at the time that she and Keach remained close, albeit while apart.

"We open our hearts to one another. We respect one another," Seymour said. "We've been together 22 years, and we will be together the rest of our lives raising our children and doing things like the Open Hearts Foundation."

Sure enough, the two were all smiles together on the red carpet at the 3rd Annual Open Hearts Foundation gala right after the separation announcement.

Seymour was Keach's third wife and he was her fourth husband.
