Channeling style icon Grace Kelly seems to suit Nicole Kidman.

The actress looks stunning in Grace-inspired garb on the December cover of Vanity Fair, which famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier shot exclusively for the magazine.

The 1950s-influenced photos show Nicole sporting flouncy dresses and even a figure-hugging one-piece bathing suit. On the cover, the actress sports a cream-colored frock with soft, pinned waves and muted makeup, while other images in the spread feature her taking a dip in a pool, kicking back in a vintage car and sporting a gown and fur stole in the woods.

Kidman has most recently been tapped to replace friend Naomi Watts in the movie Queen of the Desert, which will also star Robert Pattinson.

"It's not all signed, sealed and delivered," she said of the film. "But…it's certainly in rapid sort of motion."

E! News first reported that Watts was stepping away from the Werner Herzog-directed film.
