When it comes to checking out big-name rappers in concert, the forecast for Al Roker isn't looking good.
The Today show weatherman took his 14-year-old daughter and her friend to a Drake show in Hartford, Conn., on Oct. 26, and Roker had an epiphany of sorts, which he tweeted in the form of a Vine video after feeling the full force of his 59 years.
"At the Drake concert / XL Center in Hartford, Ct. Officially #TooOld," he wrote in a post that subsequently went viral.
The sentiment was a fitting caption to the hysterical, wide-eyed, expression on his face, footage that he shot of himself while seated during the performance as younger concertgoers gleefully danced around him.
No word if he's a fan of the 27-year-old Canadian rapper, but if there's one thing he clearly didn't like, it was a couple of dudes purportedly making eyes at his teenager.
"I'm sitting there and I've got my daughter and her friend and they're 14 years old. Then there's some college guys…they start trying to hit on my daughter. I'm like, 'Yo, dude! Hello! Hello! Hello! I will kill you. I will drop you right here," Roker told cohosts Willie Geist and Natalie Morales on Monday morning about the incident.
Recalling what he told the men, Al's temperature began to rise: "She's 14! Do you wanna die? Is the last thing you want to see is Drake? Because there will be nothing else after that."
Roker lastly expressed shock at the number of parents who dropped their kids off at the show and let them go in, noting, "'Cause that's what's happening out there!"
Drake is currently touring in support of his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, which dropped in September.
