When Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian on Monday, Oct. 21, he wanted it to be a complete surprise.

He'd asked Kris Jenner for her blessing, of course, but no one else—not even Kim's sisters—knew Yeezy was planning to pop the question! Hours before Kanye got down on bended knee, though, KME-FM radio hosts Sana and Kimmie asked him point blank if he was planning to marry North West's mommy.

"I just feel so blessed," he said, clearly unwilling to ruin the surprise he'd planned for that night! Then, with a gleeful smile, 'Ye looked away and said politely, "I'm not answering those questions."

Nori's daddy would, however, talk openly about his love for Kim! "I have never loved any girl, other than my mother [Dr. Donda West, who passed away in 2007], as much as I love my girlfriend," he gushed.

"I'm so happy to be with her, to live this life together, and—with our relationship with God—to be able to live forever in heaven together," he gushed, "and also to raise a strong family that communicates truth and beauty, and we have a good time while we're doing it by just being creative….I love that fact that God has put her in my life—every single day."

He also credits Kim—a "master of social skills" for teaching him to better deal with the constant media attention.  "I think me and my girl are extremely influential, you know, greatly due to the paparazzi," he said, before clarifying, "Now I'm gonna word it in a Kanye way—me and my girl are the most influential."

Yeezy praised his future wife for being able to realize some of the things that upset about the press are "just not that serious."

"Imagine the idea of me, Kanye West, just learning to chill," he said.  "And that's what I've been doing."
