Nice to see you again, Dakota Johnson. After successfully evading the paparazzi for weeks, the actress resurfaced at CFDA & Vogue Fashion Fund Event at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The event marked the first time Johnson has attended a red carpet event since Charlie Hunnam abruptly backed out of Fifty Shades of Grey earlier this month.

Wearing a blue and black dress that flattered her slim figure, the 24-year-old blond mingled with fellow guests Milla Jovovich and Imogen Poots during the star-studded soiree. Other famous attendees included Rachel Bilson, Lea Michele, Lily Collins, Emmy Rossum, Lena Dunham, Diane Kruger, Krysten Ritter, Lizzy Caplan, Rachel Zoe and Rose McGowan.

Production on Fifty Shades of Grey is slated to begin in November, with a tentative release date scheduled for Aug. 1, 2014. Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan has reportedly been offered the role of Christian Grey opposite Johnson's Anastasia Steele; Universal Pictures has yet to confirm his casting.

Earlier this week, Fifty Shades of Grey producer Michael De Luca said Johnson had been incredibly helpful in casting her new love interest. "She's just so Anastasia Steele," he told E! News. "She's the best partner a producer could have."

(E! And Universal Pictures are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
