Cressida Bonas isn't a princess quite yet.

The 24-year-old blond beauty and Prince Harry are heading towards marriage, but for family affairs—like Prince George's christening on Wednesday, Oct. 23—Cressy will reportedly be staying on the sidelines.

A royal source told People that Cressida's attendance at the christening would put an even brighter spotlight on her and Harry's relationship, saying. "If she went to this totally private service, it would be tantamount to saying they were about to be engaged."

The 45-minute ceremony, presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev. Justin Welby, will take place in the Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace in London. As a congregation member told E! News, "It's not just intimate, it's absolutely private."

Prince William and Kate Middleton will, of course, be attending, and both sets of grandparents are expected to be present as well. Young Georgie's godparents—who have yet to be publicly confirmed but are reportedly going to be commoners—will also participate in the ceremony.

As a congregation member told E! News, "William and Kate apparently want this to be a low-profile, personal event…While it's stunning, and regal in a quiet way, it's a million miles from the pomp and circumstance of their wedding."

Fair enough. Fingers crossed, though, we all get to partake in all the pomp and circumstance of another royal wedding in the not-too-distant future!
