We're guessing Jenna Jameson isn't a morning person.
Turning up on Good Day New York Monday to plug her new erotic novel, Sugar, the porn star turned author gave a rather bizarre interview that was apparently cut short out of concern for her well-being.
In the interview, the 39-year-old Jameson slurred her speech a couple of times when she talked with cohosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto about retiring from the adult film business a decade ago. She then followed that with somewhat distracted, almost unintelligible answers about her book, which is based on her life.
"It's about me," she said about Sugar, seemingly out of it and forming her words very slowly. "I didn't want it to be exact of what I've always done, so I kind of made up a fantastic, yummy story."
Yummy indeed.
The sit-down wrapped up on a more articulate note with Jenna weighing in on such topics as late adult film legend Linda Lovelace ("Whatever she had to say, I seem to think that it was bull"); her thoughts about doing porn while married ("I was always really good at being monogamous"); and tweeting about her UFC fighter ex, Tito Ortiz ("Everything's going well").
However, sources told TMZ that producers were worried enough about Jameson's erratic behavior that they cut short her appearance even though she was originally scheduled to do two segments.
Jameson has a history of substance abuse.
On May 25, 2012, the porn queen was popped for driving under the influence after her car struck a pole in Westminster, Calif. She subsequently pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI and received three years' probation and was ordered to complete an alcohol-education course.
In 2010, Ortiz's attorney claimed Jameson had been battling an Oxycontin addiction and her relapse was the cause of a purported altercation that resulted in a police probe of domestic violence accusations. However, Jenna subsequently denied the allegations.
