Kanye West is a creative genius and quite comfortable comparing himself to Jesus, but when it was time to pop the question to the love of his life, even Yeezy seemed to get a little nervous!

Around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21—just hours before the 36-year-old proposed to Kim Kardashian—an eyewitness tells E! News the groom-to-be was spotted leaving 99.7 NOW radio station, looking "very serious" as he "made a beeline to his car."

"'Ye wasn't accompanied by an entourage," noted an eyewitness, who added that Kim's love was "polite," gave a friendly head nod to a passerby, and was, naturally, wearing a "nice" suit.

"The car wasn't a huge ostentatious stretch," added the source. "[It was] just an ordinary limo, maybe a town car."

Later that evening, with future mother-in-law Kris Jenner's blessing, Kanye got down on one knee at San Francisco's AT&T Park. With the help of a 50-piece orchestra playing Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" followed by "Knock You Down," his track with Keri Hilson and Ne-Yo, he officially asked the question.

A jumbo screen reading "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEEE!!!" aided in his request, and as all you dolls know, the birthday girl (who was celebrating turning 33) said YES to marrying baby North West's daddy!

Aww, congratulations, Kimye!
