Kim Kardashian is getting her happily ever after. As exclusively reported by E! News on Monday, Oct. 21, Kanye West proposed to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star on her 33rd birthday at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Calif. The event was an extra special affair, as the rapper invited his love's family and friends to witness his grand romantic gesture.
Kim's younger sister Khloé Kardashian Odom was the first to express her happiness via Twitter. "Wow!!!!! Am I dreaming??!?!" she asked her nearly 8.5 million followers. "Tears of JOY!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!"
Siblings Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner have yet to publicly comment on the happy news.
The bride-to-be's BFF Rachel Roy, meanwhile, shared a post-engagement picture via her Instagram account. "The most beautiful night happens when u show your heart love @kimkardashian & #kaynewest," she captioned. Sadly, the fashion designer didn't give a glimpse of Kim's sparkler.
Kim's mom, talk show host Kris Jenner, gushed about her daughter's engagement moments after it happened. "A match made in heaven!" she raved. "I am so happy for both of my kids, Kim and Kanye." (For all the details on the couple's surprise engagement, tune into E! News Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.)
Like a true gentleman, West asked Jenner for her permission before he popped the question. After she gave him the go-ahead, he rented out the stadium and presented Kim with a 15-carat diamond ring by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. As he got down on bended knee, the jumbo screen flashed the sign, "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!"
A 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful," followed by West, Keri Hilson and Ne-Yo's "Knock You Down." The over-the-top proposal ended with an explosion of fireworks and Roman candles.
Hours before she agreed to be West's wife, Kardashian thanked her Twitter followers for their kind words. "I am so overwhelmed by all of this birthday love!!!!" she wrote. "Thank you so much! It means the world to me!"
